The purpose of Journal of Akdeniz University Faculty of Communication (JAUFC) is to provide a venue for researchers to impart their knowledge to one another and thus contributre the communication studies literature in a multidisciplinary perspective.
Akdeniz İletişim aims to deliver articles and research reports that make significant social and academic contributions to the advancement of communication science to all academics, students and practitioners interested in the field of communication. The journal supports research and articles free from sexism and other prejudices.
JAUFC covers communication practices including interpersonal communication, organizational communication, intercultural communication, health communication, media sociology, political communication, public opinion, rhetoric, discourse and ideology, social media and communication practices in all digitally created environments. It hosts all the research suitable within the multidisciplinary nature of the field. The journal welcomes applications from established and emerging research fields with a variety of philosophical, theoretical or methodological foundations (including positivist, interpretative and critical approaches, as well as quantitative, qualitative, ethnographic, performative and rhetorical methods).
Guidelines and rules are meticulously applied to act in accordance with the rules of the indexes to which Akdeniz İletişim is subject, and to be accepted by higher level journal indexes by publishing qualified studies. Thus, studies that do not comply with these rules are rejected at the preliminary evaluation stage. For minor deficiencies in terms of Author Guidelines, revisions are requested from the authors, but no concessions are made in these revision requests.
